Job Profile:
· The purpose of this job is to lead, develop and execute the analytics agenda for the Ready-to-Eat Cereal (RTEC), Nutritious Portable Foods (NPF) and Frozen Breakfast categories.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver The Results
Contribute to Delivering the Results - Lead the Marketing Team’s in-market tracking of the operating plan in order to achieve budget targets. Specific targets include Net Sales, Operating Profit, Cash Flow and Market Share. Responsible for contributing to Monthly State of the Nation report development with cross functional partners. Perform issue and opportunity analysis, and post implementation reviews that enable the discovery of market and brand insights, and development of recommendations that influence the year-to-go operating plan. Key inputs include, but are not limited to AC Nielsen consumption and media tracking, and market mix modeling.
2. Create The Future
· Partner in the Annual Development of Brand Strategies & Plans - Lead the annual delivery of market, portfolio, brand & competitive analytic insights and recommendations to influence the development of portfolio and brand strategies. Influence the portfolio and brand plans by leveraging market mix modeling results to optimize the volume contribution and ROI of marketing initiatives. Direct the analytic contributions of external research suppliers against the annual planning process. Advance KCI’s insights agenda by identifying, initiating and executing custom analytic research.
3. Strengthen The Organization
· Lead the Marketing Analytics Function – Build and evolve the insights operating plan, stakeholder integration, tracking tools, supplier base, processes and budgets to provide timely market and brand performance insights for the RTEC, NPF and Frozen categories to influence business decisions at the Monthly State of the Nation, and the Brand Strategy & Plans process. Partner with the Consumer Insight Managers to provide full 360 analytic and consumer insights and recommendations against brand issues and opportunities.
· Talent Management – Actively participate in the Talent Management Program to unite business strategy and objectives with individual accountabilities and goals.
· Strengthen the Marketing Organization – Positively contribute towards improving the competencies and cohesiveness of the Marketing team.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· Minimum university undergraduate degree.
· > 5 years of analytic research experience with competency in AC Nielsen and Market Mix Modeling preferred.
· Experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods industry is preferred.
· Must have proven track record of success and be able to demonstrate ability to initiate, develop and deliver analytic insights in an effective and timely manner.
· The ability to be objective is essential.
· Strong organizational skills are necessary given the high number of requests and projects managed at one time
· Excellent communication and persuasion skills combined with strong leadership skills.
· Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
