Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for leading efforts to configure, develop, test, monitor and support changes and enhancements to Business Intelligence (BI) systems to support business requirements.
• Mentor other developers on the team by providing guidance in solving complex problems.
• Ensure solutions are in alignment with the enterprise architecture blueprint, the solutions architecture, and ensure that systems and application designs adhere to standards and policies.
• Accountable for team guidance and delivery of complex, technical solutions to business needs.
• Provide leadership in the implementation and execution of Business Intelligence solutions to complex business problems.
• Work with the business and technical/business analyst to define BI requirements.
• Responsible for complying with the SDF process. Utilize end-to-end software development life cycle practices to deliver a quality product.
• Define the integration between proposed development projects and existing systems, software and hardware.
• Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the application portfolio and its correlation to the business’ tactical and strategic plans. Align IT goals with business needs.
• Research emerging technologies and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness, improve flexibility or better support business requirements. Research developer/test tools for efficient code turnaround.

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
• 5 or more years of development experience implementing solutions for complex Business Intelligence systems supporting business processes.
• 3 or more years of leadership experience.
• In-depth technical knowledge and expertise in BI platforms; strong development skills using MS SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Integration Services, Crystal Reports, Business Objects and data visualization tools and platforms.
• Ability to work with business and technical/business analyst to define BI requirements.
• Very strong understanding of OLTP and OLAP database design principals and dimensional modeling.
• Exceptional understanding of software quality principles.
• Expertise in various software development methodologies (Kimball Lifecycle, XP, UP).

Travel: This position requires on average 10% travel.

Relocation: Assistance is not available; position located in Westminster, CO.
