The Strategic Account Executive- New Business leads the company’s efforts to develop, maintain and expand relationships with large, multi-location customers and prospects. Assigned to named accounts, the Strategic Account Executive- New Business is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objectives.
The Strategic Account Executive- New Business represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company.
The Strategic Account Executive- New Business focuses on the corporate headquarters of assigned accounts, while coordinating closely with Solution Executives assigned to these customers. The Strategic Account Executive- New Business will also maintain relationships with local facilities to best understand local needs.
The Strategic Account Executive- New Business reports to the Director of New Business.
Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned Hospital accounts at C-Suite and VP Level.
Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including Solution Executives and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
Meets assigned quota targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned account.
Proactively leads joint company strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones.
Proactively assesses, clarifies and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary HealthStream personnel.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES
Achieves assigned sales quota in designated national accounts.
Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by sales management.
Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.
Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
Maintains Customer Engagement Score (CES) within each assigned account.
Reports to the Director of New Business.
Enlists the support of Solution Executives, implementation resources, professional and customer service resources, and other sales and management resources as needed.
Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management.
Works closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
Minimum ten years of Healthcare sales experience in a business to business sales environment
Proven track record of maintaining pipeline 3x quota and effectively forecasting sales opportunities
Proven track record of Prospecting, Presenting to C-Suite, Account Management and Closing.
Previous experience selling in a team based selling environment.
Four year college degree from an accredited institution
Ability to travel 50%
