Position Summary

This entry-level position takes direction and guidance from the Director of Digital Marketing and works with copywriters and a consortium of outside vendors.  The Graphic Designer executes a myriad of projects ranging from the creation of basic marketing and sales materials to more extensive advertising elements, sales kits, brochures, tradeshow booths, etc.   This position provides a unique opportunity to work on a broad range of projects and encourages independence and growth. The Graphic Designer can be based in either the Boulder, CO office or the San Diego, CA office. 

Duties and Responsibilities

Specifically, the Graphic Designer will work on the following:

  1. Marketing Materials – The creation of marketing materials for multiple departments with a variety of target audiences including – Sales, Training, Implementation, Customer Service, Product Management, and the Executive team.  The scope of materials to be created from concept through production range from infographics and white papers – print, web, direct mail – to sales kits, large-scale signage and more.  Most materials also need to be represented in a Web format compatible with email blasting and Web site presence. 
  2. Digital – Working with the copywriter (whether in-house or otherwise) and other members of the Marketing Department, the Graphic Designer will assist in generating specific digital materials – PowerPoint presentations, social media images, banner ads, email templates, website headers, etc. – to support the marketing and sales initiatives of the company.   
  3. Production – In conjunction with the Director of Digital Marketing, the Graphic Designer will work with multiple vendors and oversee the production of all materials while keeping in mind the most effective printing processes, deadlines and budget constraints. 

Skills

  • Due to the significant amount of various projects occurring simultaneously, superior project management skills are required.
  • In addition, the ability to communicate effectively and listen intently is critical for the person holding this position. A self-starting, flexible attitude is also a must.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or closely related field.
  • Additionally, must be fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. An understanding of html coding is a plus. 
  • A working knowledge of MS Office applications is required.
