We currently have an opening for a Senior Consulting Engineer in our Burbank, CA office.
Role Purpose:
Provides technical support and risk analysis services to Engineering Underwriters and Clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise Underwriters regarding new and existing risks, detailing risk exposures, loss estimates and risk improvement proposals
Undertake Loss Control inspections and report accordingly
Co-ordinate the global risk management program for multi-national or foreign based clients, including active participation and assistance in CRM and client orientation activities
Maintain technical knowledge and assist in the development of technical materials for the use of Risk Consultants, Underwriters and Clients
Contribute to developments within the ARCN and deliver technical presentations at conferences and seminars
Requirements:
Qualified Civil Engineer with >5 years relevant insurance and/or production experience, in constructive/structural engineering like high-rise and midsize buildings, bridges, roads and highways etc. and special knowledge in soil mechanics and different types of foundations.
Good communication skills - able to deal with Clients at all levels
Focused task planner and decision maker
Presentation skills - able to convey key requirements to Underwriters & Clients
