Senior Consulting Engineer – Allianz Risk Consultants (Burbank)

We currently have an opening for a Senior Consulting Engineer in our Burbank, CA office.

Role Purpose:

Provides technical support and risk analysis services to Engineering Underwriters and Clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise Underwriters regarding new and existing risks, detailing risk exposures, loss estimates and risk improvement proposals
• Undertake Loss Control inspections and report accordingly
• Co-ordinate the global risk management program for multi-national or foreign based clients, including active participation and assistance in CRM and client orientation activities
• Maintain technical knowledge and assist in the development of technical materials for the use of Risk Consultants, Underwriters and Clients
• Contribute to developments within the ARCN and deliver technical presentations at conferences and seminars

Requirements:

• Qualified Civil Engineer with >5 years relevant insurance and/or production experience, in constructive/structural engineering like high-rise and midsize buildings, bridges, roads and highways etc. and special knowledge in soil mechanics and different types of foundations.
• Good communication skills - able to deal with Clients at all levels
• Focused task planner and decision maker
• Presentation skills - able to convey key requirements to Underwriters & Clients
• Business awareness
