What You'll Do

  • Perform complex Hyper- and multi-spectral data exploitation and analysis (with training) for the Measurement and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT)/Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Division of the National Air & Space Intelligence Center (NASIC), Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
  • Analyze data for spectral projects in the application of remote sensing technology to solve military and intelligence problems.
  • Work both independently and in a team environment, integrating the efforts of other analysts.
  • Work may include possible shift work.
  • It will also require integration of analytical results with other intelligence to obtain a complete understanding of a particular location or item of interest.
  • The other intelligence can include, but not limited to, GIS information, SITREPs, and other INTs (ie. IMINT, COMINT, HUMINT, etc).
  • The candidate will need to work in a dynamic environment at a government provided facility.

What You'll Need 

 

  • BS in Science, Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred, plus 5 or more years experience.  Desired course work includes physics, engineering chemistry, remote sensing, electro-optics, geology, or mathematics.
  • Broad knowledge of remote sensing phenomenology, imagery analysis, MASINT, GEOINT, AGI, and GIS.
  • Ability to apply remote sensing techniques to intelligence problems is highly desired. 
  • In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered. Each higher level degree, i.e. Master's degree or Ph.D. may substitute for two years of experience.  Related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • The ideal candidate should have an extensive science background with emphasis on remote sensing and experience with intelligence products created for warfighter support. 
  • The realistic candidate will have an open mind, a desire to learn, initiative, and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Must Have Skills
  • MASINT / AGI data analysis experience
  • Must be able to acquire new technical skills as needed.
  • Must have excellent human relations and communications skills and be able to work in a team environment with military, DOD civilians, and contractors.
 
Nice To Have Skills
  • Experience with EO and IR phenomenology
  • Prior military intelligence experience is a plus.
