What you will do
- Support Fixed Price, Cost Plus, and Time & Material proposals for United States Government customers.
- Interface with both virtual and local organizations and with employees at all levels during proposal process.
- Evaluate estimates both internally and from subcontractors.
- Coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments.
- Support proposal team and proposal process from cost volume pre-planning stage through contract award.
- Support cost and pricing reviews with management and not only indicate areas of risk but offer ways to mitigate those risks.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred, plus 8 or more years of pricing experience, ideally for a DoD contractor.
- Be a team player, professional and conscientious with the ability to work with teams and obtain results while maintaining positive working relationships.
- Have strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and make meaningful analysis and recommendations. Need to be viewed as an expert in the pricing field within the corporation.
- Be able to work in a dynamic environment where project lead times are often limited.
- Have full knowledge of industry practices in regards to government cost accounting, cost estimating and budgeting, project cost control, project reporting and planning. Develop new applications based on professional principles and theories.
- Provide leadership at all levels within and outside the department and with outside contacts or customers. See the big picture and initiates actions whenever needed that are not clearly defined.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a Government Security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Must have strong PC skills including MS Excel.
- In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level will be considered. Each higher level degree, i.e. Associate’s, may substitute for two years of experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education.
