What You'll Do: - Assume a senior contracts "hands-on" role in executing classified / unclassified DoD and AFRL contracts
- Extensive experience in all aspects of DoD contracting and subcontracting (pre-award activities, contract administration, and contract closeout)
- Facilitate positive interactions with other contract personnel in the Contract's Department
What You'll Need: - BS or MBA in a related field is strongly preferred, plus 8 or more years DoD contracting experience is required
- Demonstrated background of FAR, DFAR, legal, business, regulatory, and programmatic aspects of federal government contracting and subcontract administration / management
- Extensive experience with DoD and/or major Aerospace prime contractors
- Broad comprehensive experience with developing responses to RFP, BAA, and RFI's to include: SOW, CDRLS, Terms & Conditions, Reps & Certs, developing pricing and negotiation strategies. Subcontract proposal and execution support to include, RFP generation, Develop Terms & Conditions Flowdowns, review SOW to ensure alignment with Prime Contract requirements, proposal evaluation, negotiations, PNM's, issuing / managing subcontracts, and contract close out
- Experience with different contract types: (cost reimbursement award fees, incentive fee, fixed price, and T&M contracts)
- Demonstrated experience with all facets of pre-award planning/execution of multi-million dollars acquisitions, teaming arrangements, and non-disclosure agreements with primes and subcontractors
- Strong conflict resolution skills, able to adapt quickly in a changing business environment, and able to work variety of complex issues with minimum direct supervision
- Strong oral and written communications skills, computer fluency, agile and effective negotiator with clear oral and written explanations required
- In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level will be considered. Each higher level degree, i.e. Master's degree or Ph.D. may substitute for two years of experience. Two years of experience may be substituted for each year of education
