What You’ll Do:
You will be responsible for system cost, schedule, technical, and personnel management. Candidate will lead a team of Electrical Systems, Mechanical Packaging, Electrical Circuit Design, Parts & Reliability, Radiation, and Production Engineers in the design, fabrication, test, and integration of ground and space based electronics subsystems.
Projects include high reliability electronics for NASA, DoD, and Commercial Space applications. Experienced team leader needed with ability to establish effective working relationships across the enterprise. Need have experience managing all aspects of electrical engineering projects from start to finish.
What you’ll need:
- Demonstrated successful management of electronics development efforts including meeting cost, schedule, and performance goals.
- Proven track record in management of design & Development tasks as an integrated product team (IPT) lead
- Experience leading cross functional teams
- Experience in electronics design, fabrication and test highly desirable
- Prefer past experience with "flight space qualified" electronic programs and radiation-hardened environments
- Prefer experience in developing specifications, design and analysis, documentation and presentation
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written communication skills, oral presentation skills and an ability to lead group discussions.
- Cost and schedule management with earned value reporting along with resource, risk and subcontract management.
Education:
- BS in Engineering or related technical field is strongly preferred plus 8 or more years related experience.
- In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered. Each higher level degree, i.e. Masters Degree may substitute for two years of experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
