Successful candidate will have completed a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

The Ball Aerospace Albuquerque office, located near Kirtland Air Force Base, primarily supports the Air Force Research Laboratory's Directed Energy and Space Vehicle Directorates, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and the Air Force.

 

Our Albuquerque employees specialize in providing solutions in space control, directed energy research, experimentation, and analysis.  Ball Aerospace also provides quick-response national assessments that evaluate a number of areas including:

What You'll Do 

  • Conduct open- and closed-source research utilizing a broad range of sources
  • Identify and collaborate with subject matter experts
  •  Identify and attend appropriate trade shows, conferences, and other forums
  • Use advanced software tools to gather large volumes of information from government, commercial, academic, and public sources
  • Conduct analysis to discover new information, identify trends and assess impact
  • Produce written assessments, descriptive graphics, and information databases in accordance with established formats
  • Coordinate with other team members on assessments and deliverables
  • Manage personal workload and time to meet firm production deadlines
  • Prepare and present briefings; provide training and instructional materials as required
  • Maintain currency on key technology areas

  

What You'll Need

 

  • A Bachelor's or Associate's degree relating to security, identity, physical access control or technical intelligence
  • At least five years of analytical experience in one or more of the following areas:  technical intelligence, identity or security technologies, biometrics, law enforcement databases, identity management, or familiarity with basic principles of radioactive isotopes and related detection technologies.
  • Knowledge of and experience in all-source electronic research techniques, procedures, and practices
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Must be able to work effectively in a collaborative environment with other analysts to reduce analytical bias and improve the comprehensive scope of strategic analyses.
  • Top Secret security clearance based on a Special Security Background Investigation (SSBI), SCI eligible.
  • In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered.  Each higher level degree, i.e., Master's degree or Ph.D. (or Bachelor's or Master's degree) may substitute for two years of experience.  Related experience may be considered in lieu of education

  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Able to travel. Most travel is short duration (one week or less) and may include overseas locations.
  • Experience with multiple types of search engines and commercial data services
