What You’ll Do:

  • Administer contract in support of the Antenna and Video standard products area.
  • Proposal Support - Analyze requests for proposals and assist program team in the formulation of win strategies.  Include exceptions to terms and conditions as required. Highlight to management any unusual or non-standard requirements of the RFP.

  • Lead all Negotiation Sessions - Seek to establish executable budgets including management reserve, that mitigate cost risk and provide for the completion of the contract. Balance the Risk and Reward equation for contract type and fee / profit. Time earning of profit closely with the execution of contracted work.

  • Enhance Shareholder Value by; Negotiating favorable fee/profit amounts and billing provisions that provide for positive cash flow; Negotiate reasonable budgets that provide for on-budget completion of contracted work. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions that limit BATC liability.

  • Contract Compliance - Assure the discharge of Contract Responsibilities as documented in the Contract, SOW, Specification, SDRL, Quality Provisions and Schedule. Incur no defective pricing findings or ITAR violations.

  • Risk Management - Protect Share Holder Value by aggressively managing unauthorized technical scope growth, actively ensure compliance to all legal and regulatory requirements, ISO procedures, and ITAR administration requirements. Warranty provisions, if included, shall be mitigated by establishing warranty reserves and limiting warranty period to BATC standard twelve-month term.

  • Financial Management - Ensure consistent financial balance to all contracts; minimize Ball Funds; Minimize Unbilled Costs; actively manage revenue recognition (profit accruals) per DO guidelines.

  • System Compliance - Maintain paperless auditable files per the ISO filing system for contracts.

  • Contract Data Bases: Learn and effectively use internal systems and data bases; Contract System; Opportunity Tracking and Information System (OTIS); Accounting System for Invoice and Payment Status, etc.

 

  • Contracts closed on time IAW Federal Acquisition Regulations requirements and company policies.

  • Effectively contribute as part of a program team; collaborate with related departments.

 

  • Support e-commerce business transactions (Prime Contractor and Government).

 What You’ll Need:

  • Knowledge and experience utilizing business and financial principles, concepts, practices and standards.
  • Aerospace and/or government contract experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership and negotiation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team setting supporting internal as well as external customers
  • Solid  Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS office applications

Education:

  • BS in related field. In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level should be considered.  Each higher level degree, i.e. Ph.D. may substitute for two years of experience.  Related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
