What You'll Do
- Work as part of a blended team to develop and maintain a complex IT system architecture, support data analysis and reporting
- Monitor subsystem performance, upgrade subsystems, and provide user support
What You'll Need
- BS in Software Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred plus 5 or more years of progressively responsible experience.
- Strong experience with Perl or Java is required. Experience with both preferred. Experience with additional languages is a plus.
- Current experience with LINUX is required.
- Good and current working knowledge of networking protocols and virtual systems.
- Facility with development under both Windows and UNIX/LINUX environments required.
- Experience administering Tomcat applications is desired.
- Good technical writing skills, such as code documentation, are important.
- In addition to the typical educational and experience requirements, a demonstrated capability to adequately perform the essential functions and responsibilities of the position and exhibit the skills and competencies of the grade level will be considered. Each higher level degree, i.e. Master's degree or Ph.D. may substitute for two years of experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of education.
