The Ballard Human Resources Team is growing in order to support continued organization growth. We have an opportunity for a dynamic individual to join the group as a Human Resources Generalists on a regular, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to apply and grow their HR knowledge and experience.

 

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, detail-oriented and energetic professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline driven, team environment. The HR Generalist will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Providing HR services and support aligned to the company’s vision, mission and values;
  • Gathering and managing employee data, including conducting analysis, and preparing reports (e.g. HR monthly reporting, employee survey, performance management process and annual compensation planning process)
  • Leading high volume, full-cycle recruitment for a variety of Professional and Technical positions
  • Supporting Managers in ensuring a smooth on-boarding process
  • Supporting the ongoing requirements of the HCM system in Oracle Fusion, including customization coordination, upgrade testing, coordination with IT on configuration changes and bug fixes, maintaining training materials, etc.
  • Coordinating onsite training
  • Coordinating new employee information and documentation
  • Responding to employee requests and resolving or routing appropriately
  • Preparing correspondence, presentations and materials as required
  • Ensuring client-specific needs are taken into account in the design of corporate HR programs and implementing corporate HR programs in the field
  • Updating and maintaining the HR section of Ballard’s intranet site
  • Coordinating employee events and participating in special projects as required

 

Requirements:

  • Human Resources Diploma or related degree with 3-6 years HR Generalist experience (some experience as an HR Business Partner would be an asset)
  • Working knowledge of HR programs and policies
  • Experience in utilizing an ERP system would be considered an asset (ex. Oracle Fusion Solution)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of work
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (oral and written)
  • High level of attention-to-detail, ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands
  • Superior employee relations skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team of professionals in an ever-changing, fast paced, customer focused environment
  • Computer and technical skills in all aspects of MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to take initiative, be responsive, professional and a great team player
  • Experience with electronic surveys is an asset
