Engineering Manager, Plant Process – Delran, NJ

Responsible for:  

  • Supporting the plant in problem resolution, process optimization, preventative and predictive maintenance, and efficiency improvements.
  • Diagnosing the root cause of production machine issues and developing and implementing corrective action plans.
  • Re-engineering existing production systems to improve plant department yields across all plants.
  • Working on predictive and preventative maintenance processes, including periodic review of procedures and their execution.
  • Conducting line inspections and documenting results. Drives corrective actions when necessary.
  • Participating in designing new work systems that enhance plant performance, i.e., line tune ups, improved PM processes, improved change over processes, etc.
  • Developing and maintaining good working relationships with manufacturing plant personnel to support improved plant performance.
  • Initiating, reviewing, mastering and following all standard operating procedures (SOP's) for area of responsibility.

 

Requirements: 

  • Broad training in a related professional field, acquired through college level education and work-related experience. College degree required.
  • Job related experience for 3 years minimum.
  • Working knowledge of the following areas:

1.    PET manufacturing principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures.

2.    Proficient with computer software programs (Excel, Word, and Power Point).

3.    Generally accepted managerial practices and procedures

  • Ability to apply intensive and diversified evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard plant engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
  • Directs and manages projects related to equipment and building modification and/or repair.
  • Must be able to operate and functionally use a computer.
  • Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Problem-solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
