Acute Care Program
The Acute Care Program is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Research Analyst to support the development, and implementation ECHO Ontario Mental Health Projects at CAMH, including the ECHO Ontario First Nations, Inuit and Métis Wellness project. Falling within the Telemental Health services portfolio and working with the ECHO Ontario Mental Health at CAMH and the University of Toronto, this emerging area presents a significant opportunity for improving access to mental health and addictions services, both in remote and urban settings, with a specific focus on serving First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities.
Reporting to the Director, Outreach, Telemental Health and ECHO, you will act as a key project member providing support to the project, education, and research coordinators to ensure the successful launch and implementation of several new ECHO Ontario Mental Health projects, including the ECHO Ontario First Nations, Inuit and Métis Wellness project, as well as contribute to the development and ongoing operations of the Indigenous Telemental Health project. You will understand the application of Ownership, Control, Access, and Possession (OCAP) principles, and support the team’s project implementation, operational and research efforts. The Research Analyst will provide hands-on support with daily activities necessary to facilitate the coordination, implementation, operations and evaluation of CAMH’s ECHO Ontario Mental Health’s expansion and Telemental Health project, including (but not limited to): supporting all aspects of program development and CME/CPD accreditation; building relationships and collaborative partnerships; recruitment of ‘Spokes’ and coordination with primary care providers (PCP); participating in and moderating ECHO sessions; supporting the development and maintenance of required research administration, evaluation, reporting and audit documentation; supporting the development and dissemination of relevant communication for the purposes of project promotion, follow-up, evaluation or knowledge translation, as necessary. You will support the moderation and technical support of ongoing ECHO sessions and telemental health project needs. You will develop and maintain a web portal and other necessary communication tools. You will support all aspects of comprehensive literature review and research processes including, but not limited to: reviews of scientific literature; conduct literature searches; review literature for quality; develop and maintain databases for literature using reference citation software, as well as project data collected; collect, analyze, and synthesize data to support project evaluation, reporting and research activities. You will help organize and coordinate members of a ‘Hub’ team, external collaborators and partners, and work with the Project Coordinator to establish and meet key milestones and timelines. You will assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports. You will be available to travel, work at different sites, on weekends and after- regular business hours, as per project needs. The candidate will be able to work independently as well as with a diverse team (internal and external to CAMH). This position is located at 33 Russell Street with minimal but occasional travel throughout the province.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline including social or behavioural sciences, Public Health, Health Policy or a related social science degree. A minimum of one year of related research experience in a health sciences or education research environment is required. The incumbent must be an Aboriginal person (First Nations, Métis or Inuit) with demonstrated community connections. The successful candidate must have experience collaborating with Aboriginal Service providers, organizations and First Nations communities. Knowledge of OCAP is a requirement. A high degree of familiarity with Ontario’s mental health and addictions system is also required. Experience, demonstrated knowledge and understanding of qualitative (eg- grounded theory, discourse, ethnography, focus groups, case studies, etc) and quantitative research methods is required. Previous experience conducting comprehensive literature searches is required. Advanced computer skills with knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), internet search engines, various types of reference managers and the ability to learn new applications is required. Knowledge of project management frameworks and methodologies is an asset. Familiarity with relevant software for data analysis, particularly Nvivo and SPSS, and experience processing data (e.g., coding and entry) is required. Knowledge and experience survey tools (e.g., Redcap or Survey Monkey) would be an asset, as would evaluative experience. Experience drafting reports and manuscripts is required. Experience working with social media platforms, videoconferencing platforms, polling software and/or website management is preferred. Preference will be given to those with experience working with diverse clients and stakeholders. Candidates are expected to be detail-oriented, well organized, and able to work effectively in an interprofessional team. Candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral and written skills. You will have the knowledge of telemedicine and other services designed to increase access to care, as well as an understanding of Mental Health and Addictions. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or the ability to speak an Aboriginal is considered an asset.

Salary Range: $23.43 - $31.26 per hour
