- will include, but not limited to:
1. Evaluate the facility’s compliance with federal, state, local environmental and safety regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards involving general safety, Process Safety Management, fire safety, environmental safety, and industrial hygiene
2. Develop and establish programs and procedures to assist facility management and employees with regulatory and corporate standards.
3. Keep up-to-date with changes in environmental and safety regulations and assess their impact on the site’s programs and partner with affected management and employees at the site to implement necessary changes
4. Develop and provide technical training in support of environmental and safety programs applicable to the site.
5. Assist in the development of on-line training programs, perform routine environmental and safety assessments
6. Collaborate with facility management and employees to implement corrective measures and assist with the maintenance of the Environmental and Safety management system, including writing, reviewing and implementing environmental and safety SOPs.
7. Provide leadership in the EH&S audit process
8. Coordinate waste management programs to ensure waste materials are appropriately stored, shipped, tracked, and disposed or recycled in compliance with all applicable regulatory and corporate requirements
9. Assist with the site’s behavioral safety, machine guarding, electrical safety, hazardous energy control, confined space, fall protection, incident investigation, bio-safety and industrial hygiene programs.
