Position Summary
Manage all Development Configuration Management (CM) efforts. Manage CM Specialists that are responsible for CMMI taskings related to the development of products (Configuration Planning, Identification and Control). Coordinate directly with the Production CM Manager to ensure an effective transition to a solid product baseline that can be managed for the product life-cycle. Develop Engineering Change Proposals, develop program status review and proposal inputs, participate in team meetings, provide input for design-to-cost, and control schedule and budgets related to Development CM.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise the Development Configuration Management team
- Analyze and translate customer CM requirements
- Application and implementation of military and industry Configuration Management specifications
- Develop, implement, and maintain CM processes and procedures
- Develop CM plans
- Manage baselines
- Conduct configuration control boards
- Prepare and manage change control documentation
- Chair or co-chair configuration audits
- Interpret CM proposal requirements
- Prepare and submit contractual CM data
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Three to five years of direct CM Manager experience
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning systems
- Three to five years experience using a Product Life-cycle Management or Configuration Management System
- Previous experience with the generation of customer required and approved (CDRL/contract required documents) CM documents (plans, proposals, presentations, etc.)
- In-depth familiarity with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Familiarity with military standards, military specifications, and ISO/AS9100/CMMI standards.
- Ability to travel if required
- Ability to work extra hours when required
