Position Summary
Applicant selected will support the identification and capture of new business opportunities related to Air Combat Training and Test and Evaluation Instrumentation. Under the direction of the VP for Business Development, will work with members of Business Development, Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other disciplines in the definition and development of technical growth strategies for our products and services in the marketplace both for new and existing customers. Work with senior company leaders in the formulation of business capture strategies, including the development of customer proposals. Assist in the management of the Company's overall IRAD plan and development of strategic planning inputs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Successfully forecast, identify, and capture defense programs covering the Range Systems Line of Business.
- Initiate customer contact and follow-up with targeted agencies and companies.
- Coordinate activities of domestic and foreign business representatives and consultants.
- Evaluate and capture business opportunities within industry relating to core business capabilities.
- Oversee, track, and take responsibility for technical data export licensing activities required for business development activities.
- Provide weekly/monthly input to status briefings for corporate management review.
- Accomplish business growth covering various market segments supporting the primary SBU.
- Supports the Cross Functional Team (CFT) Leaders of the primary SBUs mentioned above in various business development activities including proposal preparation.
Basic Qualifications
- Position requires four-year degree in engineering or business (or education/experience equivalent.) and 8 plus years prior Department of Defense (DoD) experience.
- Must have strong verbal and written presentation skills.
- Requires air combat test or training knowledge
- Excellent planning and organizational, project management and time management skills required.
- Ability to work on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors is a must.
- Expert knowledge of company products, strong research skills, strong analytical skills are a must.
- Excellent influence and client management skills necessary.
- Must have strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Travel (some international) is required.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance is also required.
Additional Desirable Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge
Operational experience with flight training and flight operations is a plus.
