DRS C3 & Aviation is seeking a dynamic individual as a Carpenter. This individual will work with the Air Force and required resources to achieve project objectives to include SOW requirements.
Position Summary
Individual will interpret, check and perform carpentry tasks from blueprints, plans, engineering instructions and or sketches.
Duties and Responsibilities
This individual will determine amount of material required and ensure consistency of dimensions of all parts, including interlocking parts; set up and operate tools and equipment such as power saws, power shapers, mortisers, tenors, jointer, lathes and various other woodworking tools/accessories, as well as common powered and hand tools; independently plan details of work, selecting method, equipment and process best suited for particular requirement and work as a team with government customers.
Basic Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must have 2 years experience as a Journeyman Woodcrafter
· Exhibit knowledge in residential and commercial arenas
· Applicants selected will be subject to a successful background check
· Successful drug screening required
