Our product and service areas include electronic control and monitoring systems, aerospace material handling systems, simulation and training systems, radar systems, aerospace support equipment, contract manufacturing, engineering, and product support.

Position Summary
Performs manufacturing planning and scheduling using ORACLE.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Upon receipt of a new project release, manage all production order releases utilizing ORACLE Projects ERP system, to meet the master production schedule
· Release purchasing requisitions in support of assigned projects; manage material attrition needs
· Continually analyze MRP output translating into a weekly and daily production schedule for each assembly. Maintain/adjust each assembly's production levels through the timely release of new discrete manufacturing jobs, and expediting of rework as needed
· Report delays and shortages as they pertain to production shortfalls and provide suggestions for recovery
· Work with Master Planner to accommodate changing customer, and/or programs requests
· Effectively implement engineering change orders and other changes that may affect current build schedules, with the least amount of delay and cost
· Lead and/or participate in daily production meetings and the programs weekly and monthly meetings
· Identifies and assists with the timely mitigation of material shortages with the appropriate buyer and/or analyst
· Communicate project health and status through standard ORACLE reporting as required by senior management, the programs group, or other requestor
· Prepare kit release and router documentation as needed
· Perform all appropriate ORACLE transactions in accordance with all current ISO/AS Quality and Work procedures/instruction, and company policies
· Report BOM Errors, Attribute, and set-up issues that may affect the proper use of the ORACLE ERP system
· Provide support, solutions, and training to junior personnel as needed
· Assist with the updating of ISO/AS Work Procedures, and in house work instructions
· Perform all daily tasks in support of your projects to meet the customer delivery
· Report daily production needs and completions, and any shortage that may affect production releases and/or deliveries
· Work to reduce operating inventory and costs by employing LEAN principles and inventory management techniques, including automation (back flushing), Kanban, and JIT
· Assist with updating/correcting Oracle attributes as changes are identified; includes working with the other support teams such as the Engineering group, Item master and BOM group, and operations
· Attend meetings as defined by the project team, and as management directs
· Assist with the continuous improvement initiatives team to improve current processes and reduce costs
· Work to reduce operating inventory by employing stocking techniques such as Kanban, Backflushing, JIT, and lot size reduction
· Periodically create project material and production exposure profiles, and statuses to communicate all issues related to capacity, quality, and materials that may impact on time delivery; propose options and solutions
· Interact with contacts inside and outside the Company including suppliers and customers
· Assist in the training and guidance of all existing and new team members
· Perform appropriate tasks as they are related to discrepant materials to include the MR process, stock sweeps, RTV, Scrap, which may include assisting the production floor
· Assist in the development of process improvements related to Production Control, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations
· Involvement in other internal programs such as creating training instructions, and training new team members, 6S, LEAN, and any other process improvements as assigned by the management team
· Provide additional reporting and perform any/all tasks assigned by your direct supervisor and/or manager as directed
Basic Qualifications
· Three to five years Advanced Production Planning and scheduling experience is required at this level
· Two RECENT years of ORACLE planning/scheduling experience is required; preferably in a defense contractor or project environment
· Minimum of an Associate's degree required, but relative ORACLE production planning and scheduling experience will be considered
- Self starter with the ability to manage multiple programs/projects with little or no supervision
- Ability to identify areas for process improvement and drive this change
- Flexibility to assist other teams when required, and/or directed
· Must be able to work extra hours as the programs warrant to maintain delivery schedules and production releases
· Rough-cut capacity planning and scheduling within multiple plants and or sites is desired
· Master Scheduling, and LEAN Manufacturing experience preferred
· Advanced computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
· Advanced knowledge and experience in supply chain and production control activities
· Ability to train new and existing employees as required (Oracle, Excel)
· Ability to speak and write clearly, and accurately
· Highly organized and analytical; able to make difficult decisions based on available information
Additional Desirable Skills
· APICS certification preferred
· LEAN Sigma/Green or Black belt certificate desired.
· Some supervisory experience preferred
