Duties and Responsibilities:Performs duties of Inspector I and II, as well as: Assists in the instruction, familiarization, and training of lower level inspectors in daily inspection activities. Performs inspections of basic to advanced level electronic assemblies, subassemblies, and parts for compliance with specifications, using drawings, specs, production and inspection manuals. Performs in-process and final inspections. Prepares reports indicating defects and suspected cause. Witnesses and verifies tests. Keeps all required daily and monthly reports up to date. Certifies tools, crimpers, strippers, solder irons, wire-wrap guns, an. Performs other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as needed basis. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Must be knowledgeable of requirements of ISO and High Reliability Soldering Specifications. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and procedures. Must have working knowledge of electronic measuring and test equipment. Must be able to pass eye exam and solder certification. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills to functionally direct others if required. Education:High school education or equivalent. Experience Perferred: Minimum five years experience in electronic manufacturing and/or minimum two years quality assurance experience.
