CAAR612292 Sr. Project Financial Analyst  

Overall Summary

DRS-Fermont, a division of DRS Technologies, a Finmeccanica Company, is a leading manufacturer of mobile electronic power units for the defense industry. We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support our Program Management office. The individual should be familiar with FAR, CAS, and government cost and pricing regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities will include, cost analysis to assist the Program Management team in achieving financial performance.  Requires management of the division’s planning and associated project support activities for a group of contracts/orders with the appropriate program, project, contract and functional organizations.  Forecast sales and associated manpower/resource requirements, detailed schedule preparation, milestone and critical path statusing.  Schedule maintenance, labor and material cost estimating and reporting to facilitate both short and long term business growth and financial optimization.

 

Primary & Essential Accountabilities

  • Coordinate and assist managers in the development of project schedules during the bid and proposal phase. Following receipt of the project contract, develop baseline schedules.
  • Coordinate and assist in the development of project budgets during the bid and proposal phase. Develop proposed budgets into baseline budgets following contract award.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the project resource loading
  • Coordinate and provide weekly, monthly and quarterly project reports to Senior Management
  • Maintain and status project schedules
  • Maintain and status project cost information
  • Coordinate project estimate at completion (EAC) efforts
  • Provide project on time performance information to Planning Manager and other functional managers as required.
  • Assist Project and Contract Managers with other project schedule and cost activities
  • Assist Project Managers with Sr. Management Program review activities
  • Trains and mentors other Project Coordinators as required

 

Secondary Accountabilities

  • Level of Experience:  7 -10 years
  • Level of Education:   Bachelors Degree

 Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience with the program lifecycle from development through sustainment to include: proposal development, requirements decomposition, generation of system and subsystem statements of work and subcontracts, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts including implementation for cost reduction and performance improvement efforts.
  • Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and supply chain management.
  • Excellent customer interface skills
  • Solid problem solving capabilities
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Site Specific Requirements
  • Responsible for recording any measurable statistics which your position impacts such as production expenses, maintenance expenses, sales volumes, payroll costs, capital expenditures, research budgets, cost of purchases, value of inventories controlled, employees supervised (direct and indirect).
