DRS Sustainment Systems, Inc., provides technology products and integrated solutions for the sustainment of our military forces, through four core product areas: Electronic Systems, including ground and airborne radar systems and aviation ground support equipment; Battlefield Systems Integration, involving combat platform systems integration; Fuel and Water Systems, covering expeditionary fuel and water storage, distribution and packaging technologies; and Mobility and Armor Systems, featuring tactical trailers, material handling equipment and armor solutions.
DRS Technologies is seeking a Business Development Manager within the new Automatic Test Equipment Campaign Team.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop Marketing plans, monitor plans, and manage to approved marketing plans
- Develop and manage B&P and IRAD budgets to support all assigned programs.
- Plan and execute domestic & international business development in support of company objectives.
- Lead capture teams in the pursuit of new business opportunities.
- Monitor status and execution of assigned programs, acting as customer's advocate.
- Support market strategy development for business growth.
Technical Knowledge required:
- Basic knowledge of the government acquisition process.
- Experience with the development and sale of electronic Automatic Test Equipment products
- Ability to translate customer mission requirements to engineering requirements.
Qualifications:
· Four year degree in engineering or business or education/experience equivalent. Master's degree a plus. Seven to nine years product management, engineering and/or business development experience
· Strong verbal and written and presentation communication skills. Excellent planning and organizational, project management and time management skills. Ability to work on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors. Expert knowledge of Company products. Strong market research skills.
- Strong analytical skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Skills in developing and presenting customer solution briefs.
