DRS Sustainment Systems, Inc., provides technology products and integrated solutions for the sustainment of our military forces, through four core product areas: Electronic Systems, including ground and airborne radar systems and aviation ground support equipment; Battlefield Systems Integration, involving combat platform systems integration; Fuel and Water Systems, covering expeditionary fuel and water storage, distribution and packaging technologies; and Mobility and Armor Systems, featuring tactical trailers, material handling equipment and armor solutions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the program performance on development, production, and logistics contracts for both domestic and international markets for Automated Test systems for military systems .
· Manage efforts of multiple interdepartmental functions within a matrix organization responsible for all internal and external customer relations.
· Apply leadership credentials based on functional organization (engineering, operations, contracts, logistics & finance) experience and working knowledge.
· Responsible for development of new and sustainment business within the product line assignment or market segment in concert with the Business Development.
· Responsible for all aspects of program execution related to technical, cost and schedule performance as well as alignment to corporate established financial objectives.
Qualifications
· BS in Engineering (electrical/electronic preferred) or equivalent years experience in a technical discipline.
· Must have experience as a Defense Program Manager (Program administration, analysis, coordination, facilitation, etc. is not an equivalent role).
· Military support equipment experience is preferred. Electronic Warfare or Radar experience desirable.
· Must have a successful track record in managing complex military equipment programs as a prime contractor or first tier subcontractor to domestic or foreign military organizations or defense companies.
· Must have skills and experience in finance (some EVM exposure a plus), negotiation, contracting, engineering, and manufacturing in order to manage those functions within a program.
· Have good presentation abilities in professional forums for internal and external customers. Knowledge of export regulations a plus.
· Must have leadership and communications skills to represent the company vision and mission for program management within a matrix organization and to external customers.
· Must have a portfolio of programs in which financial objectives (profit/loss, cash flow, sales) were achieved. A portfolio that includes turnaround programs in which recovery was successful is beneficial.
· Development of detailed program plans with follow-on technical, cost and schedule responsibility.
