This opportunity is with DRS Technologies, located on the West Coast of Florida.  Our Largo location specializes in assembly, integration and test of radar and communication products and systems as well as ruggedized cable assembly and DoD contract manufacturing   

Position Summary/Relocation Benefits

 

This position will provide technical support in-house and in the field.  Incumbent will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, system inspection and evaluation, system groom and technical training with minimal supervision.  Position will train on first shift and then move to cover 2nd shift.

 

 - Relocation is not offered with this position 

Duties and Responsibilities

 -  Conduct production tests and troubleshoot failures in AC and DC power circuits, communication channels, digital logic circuits, analog amplifier circuits and microprocessor circuits.

-  Test and troubleshoot electromechanical, mechanical, and hydraulic assemblies.

-  Construct test cables, prototype circuits and test fixtures using proper layout, soldering and desoldering techniques.

-  Generate and review production test procedures   

 

 Basic Qualifications

-   Associates degree in Applied Science / Electronics Technology.  Prior Military RADAR experience will be considered in lieu of degree. 

-  8 - 15 years of prior related experience required.

Must be proficient using PCs and MS Office applications.   

 

Additional Desirable Skills and Knowledge

 

 Required experience in the following:  RF-Microwave, Analog, Digital testing; Phased-Array, Anechoic Chamber testing; Antenna alignment; Transmitter / Receiver testing; System Integration; RF calibration; Servo testing; Test fixture design, test, & troubleshooting.

 Experience with the following test equipment required:  Spectrum Analyzer, network Analyzer, Power meter, Logic Analyzer, Oscilloscope.
