Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Individual will install, activate, maintain and operate data and voice circuits, originating on the low data rate side of a multiplexer, through routers' switches and bridges/hubs to servers using Win NT 4.0 or later versions to LAN cabling to the desktop workstation, notebook or PC client operating with NT desktop or Win 95/98, 2000 or later versions.  Individual will set up, use and maintain VoIP and VTC ensuring all software is properly operating and can pass critical email, multimedia, VoIP and VTC data; will install the interconnecting LAN; will program IP addresses, set permissions and set up software programs in the routers/switches to independently provide an operating system; will assist a SatCom technician with the inter connections from the mux to a pre-conditioned satellite system to ensure proper function of pre-configured satellite systems.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

·  The applicant: must be willing to travel extensively, sometimes to hazardous duty areas to be inclusive of South West Asia (SWA);
·  Must have a minimum of six years of experience with the design, installation and maintenance of computer, network and / or satellite systems; 
·  Should be proficient with iDirect and Cisco devices
·  Applicant must be a US citizen.  Must also possess an active SECRET clearance, meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and will be subject to a government security investigation.
·  Employment will be contingent upon favorable results of a company background investigation and drug screening.
