Position Description (duties and responsibilities):
The individual will utilize their knowledge of VSAT Ku band satellite operation to perform satellite line-up, acquire down link carriers from the satellite and troubleshoot to the Lowest Replaceable Unit. Will operate specialized test equipment.
Required Qualifications:
· Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with the design, installation and maintenance of computer, network and/or satellite systems.
· Must be proficient with iDirect and Cisco devices.
· Must understand signal flow and end-to-end configuration diagrams for long haul circuits.
· Must be willing to travel extensively, sometimes to hazardous duty areas in South West Asia (SWA).
· Applicant must be a US citizen.
· Must also possess at a minimum a currently active SECRET clearance, meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and will be subject to a government security investigation.
· Employment will be contingent upon favorable results of a company background investigation and drug screening.
