Duties and Responsibilities

The applicant will be DRS TSI’s Program Manager Forward at Victory Base in Baghdad, Iraq responsible for liaison duties between DRS TSI and the MNF-I CIS director and his staff; working with the PM DWTS and directly reporting to the DRS TSI MNF-I Project Lead in NJ. This is a fast paced challenging Assignment that requires a decisive, motivated, team oriented leader who is able to work successfully with both military and non-military personnel. Individual selected will liaison between DRS TSI and DRS TSI’s subcontractors; vetting candidates for project positions; managing project personnel; collecting data and consolidating this information into timely and accurate reports and presentations, analyzing performance metrics forwarded him by the line supervisors; creating monthly reports for PM DWTS, MNF-I CIS and DRS TSI; processing employee evaluations; reviewing and verifying employee timesheets; overseeing employee leave scheduling; preparing briefing material and participating in meetings; preparing rough order of magnitude quotes for materials and services to be submitted to the Government; and monitoring labor burn rates and program funding.  Plans, coordinates, schedules, directs, and controls all engineering and technical support activities applicable to task execution.  Reviews and evaluates all work performed.  Ensures compliance with all management plans, policies and procedures.  Provides recommendations for resolution of technical problems

Basic Qualifications

 ·         Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

·         Excellent program management, leadership, team building, meeting management, problem resolution, risk management and decision-making skills. Individual will be responsible for managing, directing and supervising Project personnel to include reporting directly to the Project Leader.
·         Must be skilled in industry standard customer service practices.
·         Must be willing to travel extensively, sometimes to hazardous duty areas to be inclusive of South West Asia
·         BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline, plus twelve (12) years of progressive experience in military design and development, five (5) years management and supervision of substantive military electronics hardware/software development, and five (5) years systems analysis. 
·         Must have experience and skills necessary to perform the following tasks:  Manage substantial military design, development, integration test and documentation operations for multiple tasks.  Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and implementation of all contract support activities.  Interface with government personnel.  Formulate and review project feasibility studies, determine costs, ensure conformance to work standards.  Interpret policies, purposes, and goals of the organizations for subordinates.  Manage logistics support analysis for complex military systems.  Manage systems safety studies. Identify, acquire and utilize company resources to achieve project technical objectives.
·         Applicant must be a US citizen. 
·         Must also possess at a minimum an active SECRET clearance or higher, meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and will be subject to a government security investigation.
