This position reports to the Director Engineering and works in close collaboration with Product, Program and Project Managers in a matrix type setting across a variety of state-of-the-art Aeronautical Satellite Communications products and projects.

Qualifications: A seasoned individual, having the following minimum qualifications: · Mechanical Engineering degree · 20+ years experience in avionics design and development environment · Substantial knowledge and experience with RTCA/DO-160 or MIL-STD-810. · In-depth familiarity with aerospace standards and design practices · Strong leadership skills and demonstrated follow-through ability · Strong communication skills (written/presentation) · Knowledge in the areas of theoretical stress and strain, fatigue, mechanics of materials, finite element analysis, design for vibration and dynamic environments, thermal characteristics of materials and heat transfer
