Position: Patient Assistant Liaison
Department: Environmental Services - Housekeeping
Status: Temporary Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday - 0700 to 1500 and every other weekend (Hours may be subject to change based on operational needs.)
The Patient Assistant Liaison (PAL) is responsible for the housekeeping, food services and portering functions on assigned in-patient units. The PAL also assists the nursing staff with other non-nursing tasks. The PAL cleans the patient rooms and surrounding areas according to established standards; distributes patient meals; assists with patient feeding; and transports patients via wheelchair or stretcher. Other duties include assisting with patient lifting; answering call bells; making beds; ensuring adequate inventory of supplies; and running errands.

Salary: CUPE $16.69 to $20.87 per hour
