Position: Medical Radiation Technologist (Radiography)

Department: Diagnostic Imaging

Site:  Oakville, Milton and Georgetown Hospitals

Our multi-modality, three-site Diagnostic Imaging service has state-of-the-art technology.  Philips i-Site PACs was recently launched.  We have two 64-slice multi-detector CT Scanners, Digital Mammography at 2 of our sites, 1.5 T MRI at our Oakville site, 14 ultrasound units across all sites, Digital Radiography and Computed Radiography and a Nuclear Medicine service that includes a dedicated cardiac gamma camera.   There is a generous education fund for staff development.

Responsibilities:

Performs all routine radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures within the department and remotely throughout the hospital.   Will be trained to perform non contrast CT examination for after hours and weekends.

Qualifications:

    • Graduate of approved training program in Radiography.
    • Current registration and in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario [CMRTO].
    • Must have the knowledge, skills and judgment as identified in the CMRTO "Essential Competencies" and the CAMRT "National Competency Profile" to perform the services and procedures that fall within the scope of practice of the profession.
    • Ability to organize work, set priorities, manage time effectively and produce accurate results while working autonomously or as a team player
    • Excellent problem recognition and problem solving skills
    • Committed to service excellence while meeting the patient/staff needs efficiently in keeping with the Hospital Mission, Vision and Core values, maintains and fosters a positive role within the department and to external stakeholders
