Halton Healthcare Services Posting #: 2009-615713 Non-Union Position: Technical Assistant Department: Diagnostic Imaging Status: Full-Time Hours: Various shifts Site: Oakville Responsibilities: Participate in direct and indirect patient care related activities by assisting technical and nursing staff in the provision of Diagnostic Imaging services in the MRI and CT areas. Assist in any modality as required (General, MRI, Mammo, Ultrasound, Bone Densitometry, and CT). This may include patient transportation, imaging room preparation, and patient preparation. Responsible for verifying that all relevant patient records are available for the technologist/RN. Communicates with clerical, technical, medical staff, volunteers and the general public. Will be responsible for completing daily sensitometric processor testing and monitoring, film inventory control and other duties as assigned.
