 Position: Helper 1 x 2 positions

 Department: Environmental Services

 Status: Temporary Part-time (approximately 6 months)

Hours: Monday to Sunday, All shifts

 Site: Oakville

Responsibilities:

General cleaning of patient, staff and public areas to include isolation cleaning following the Infection Control guidelines and processes as well as project work. Transporting and operating automatic cleaning equipment, washing floors, ceilings and walls, cleaning inside of windows, picking up soiled linen, waste handling and related duties as required.

Qualifications:

Halton Healthcare Services is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible.

• High School education required
• Related experience required
• Must be able to work well in a team setting
• Must be able to prioritize workload and function independently
• Must be physically able to perform the job: frequent walking, forward bending, pushing/pulling carts and reaching. Some overhead reaching, squatting, climbing and heavy lifting
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to operate moderate to light equipment required
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record

Salary: $15.42 to $19.28 per hour
