Position: Registered Nurse

Department: 4E Medical Inpatient Unit

Status: Full-time

Hours: All shifts

Site: Oakville

Responsibilities:

To provide patient centred care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment. Providing caring and compassionate care to acute medical patients with GI and Palliative clusters. Will be cross-trained to work in 4 West.

Qualifications:

Halton Healthcare Services is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible.

  • Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • BCLS Certification.
  • Previous palliative care and/or gastroenterology experience preferred.
  • Preference will be given to those skilled in Central Lines, TPN, CADD pumps, PICC lines.
  • Strong patient assessment skills.
  • Ability to manage a variety of patients conditions across the life span.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with strong public relations and organizational skills.
  • Caring attitude with patients, families and co-workers.

  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of this position

  • Demonstrates commitment to continuing education.
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record.

Salary: $28.50 - $40.40 per hour
