To provide patient centred care in one of our clinical areas (In-Patient Medicine, Surgery, Mental Health, Intensive Care Unit or our Emergency Department) at one of our 3 hospital sites.

The Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital is a full service acute care community hospital. We offer a full range of primary and secondary care services including maternal/child care, intensive care, emergency and ambulatory care, medicine, surgery, rehab. and geriatrics, and mental health. Our regional programs include renal dialysis, cardiac rehab., diabetes education, and eating disorders program. We serve an urban population of 160,000. Plans are underway to relocate and expand our current hospital to a more central and spacious location in north Oakville by 2013. 

The Milton District Hospital offers a wide scope of primary care services including obstetrics, general medicine, surgery, intensive care, complex continuing care, and rehabilitation. We serve a rapidly growing urban and rural population of 60,000 people.  

The Georgetown Hospital offers a wide range of primary care services. Our major clinical areas include obstetrics, general medicine, surgery and complex continuing care. Halton Healthcare Services is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible.

·         Current Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

·         BCLS certification required.

·         IV therapy skills required.

·         New Graduate RNs or experienced RNs in medical surgery units considered.

·         Must possess excellent decision making and problem solving skills.

·         Must possess excellent documentation skills.

·         Must be able to work well under stress.

·         Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Must be a team-player with excellent conflict resolution skills.

·         Must be a self-directed learner with good computer skills.

·         Must be able to meet the physical demands of this position
