Position Responsibilities (key duties, scope of position, goals, expectations, skill requirements, travel requirements) · Responsible for coordination and execution of all internal and external communications for HUS. This includes speech writing, media, spokesperson and stakeholder engagement · Create, implement and oversee external communication strategies, practices, process that effectively promotes and protects Holcim's external reputation · Work closely with Branding, Government Affairs and Legal on a daily/weekly basis · Functions as HUS spokesperson on key business issues and crisis management · Manages external communications consultant(s) within CEO approved budget · Liaison to parent company Holcim Ltd on relevant Communications issues · Expand understanding of the organization's business, performance and strategy with external audiences · Prepares summaries of media activity for senior management Educational Criteria · Undergraduate or graduate degree in a communications related discipline or combination of a related degree and relevant experience preferred Position Dimensions (i.e., communication skills, planning, teamwork, technical knowledge, leadership, initiative) · Demonstrated leadership ability · Team player and consensus builder with the ability to work in a multicultural environment · Demonstrated ability to deliver results by establishing a comprehensive communications strategy based on business objectives · Comfortable at highest levels of management · Ability to integrate and work with Branding · Ability to write clearly and succinctly in variety of communication settings and styles · Highly creative, self-motivated, and superior interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels · High level of professionalism, customer service, energy, speed and accuracy · Ability to use diplomacy, tact and discretion in dealing with confidential matters Other Related Experiences Required or Preferred · 10-15 years experience working in a corporate communications and/or Agency environment · Supervisory experience · Environmental/green experience a plus · Manufacturing Industry experience preferred; global experience a plus · Outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat Knowledge and experience in HTML, web editing and desktop publishing would be an asset | |
