Position responsibilities (key duties, scope of position, goals, expectations, skill requirements, travel requirements): · Participates as a key member of the plant leadership team to create a high performance culture. · Oversee creation and maintenance of a safety-conscious workforce including ensuring housekeeping is a daily priority. · Ensure all quality and environmental standards are met including ISO certification processes. · Provide leadership and technical expertise on process related issues. · Responsible for developing and managing the production budget. · Work closely with maintenance, off-site quarry and quality teams to provide leadership, guidance, and direction for plant operations to ensure alignment to plant and company goals. · Direct and manage resources in the areas of process improvement, safety, environmental, and quality. · Provide performance feedback and prepare annual evaluations/development plans for direct reports; oversee annual evaluations/development plans for all individuals in the production area. · Ensure optimization of all processes in the production department. · Participate in community and public relations activities when necessary, some travel required. Other Related Experiences Required: · Seven to ten years cement manufacturing or related industry experience preferred. · Cement chemistry and process knowledge preferred. · Strong computer skills required, including Excel, Word, Project, etc. · Must understand both engineering and business principles.
