Account Director, Pharma/Healthcare


As the leader of specific account(s) within the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare Sector, the Account Director provides thought leadership to assigned clients; is responsible for delivering value across all projects as measured by client satisfaction; is a Maritz ambassador representing all Maritz Practices; provides overall leadership, strategy and direction on specific account growth and development, including responsibility for developing and implementing Growth and Action Plans; has accountability for achieving GM financial targets and driving business growth within specific assigned accounts; manages and is responsible for the development and mentorship of the assigned account team.

 

As our Account Director, you will:

 

·          Be accountable for business growth and development and identification of opportunities

·          Be accountable for timely and accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting for all account growth activities

·          Develop and approve scope change strategy with client approval

·          Develop opportunity briefs and lead subsequent solution development process

·          Proactively develop creative marketing solutions to client business challenges through the application of Maritz integrated services

·          Lead the development and writing on all client presentations and proposals

·          Ensure timely flow of information and documentation of all client related activity within the project team to and from the client

·          Manage Account Supervisors, Account Executives, Account Coordinators and/or other members of the client team as assigned

·          Coach and develop the account team in improving client service skills - particularly strategic thinking and proposal/solution development to transfer skills and ensure succession management

·          Be accountable for overall client satisfaction for assigned client, group of clients or segment of a key client

·          Ensure client satisfaction with project delivery and overall relationship with Maritz; including providing leadership/oversight to client service and/or delivery teams as required to successfully meet client project objectives  

·          Resolve client satisfaction delivery or other issues responsively and professionally.

·          Develop and maintains in-depth knowledge of the client's business, marketing programs, brands, competitors, strategies, sector, etc.

·          Lead the creation of a vibrant, energetic and client centric atmosphere on all client teams

·          Champion collaboration to lead client focused solution development

·          Work effectively together to create a positive employee experience and work environment

·          Develop relationships with Maritz US/international client leaders to identify and leverage solutions, best practices and cross border opportunities

·          Participate in other sector specific activities, as required and assigned

·          Ensure management of projects within Quality Management System requirements.

 

As our Account Director, you have:

  

·         At least 10+ years in the Pharma and Healthcare Industry

·         Direct Pharma Experience an asset

·         3-4 years of agency experience a requirement

·         Existing Pharma relationships an asset

·         A demonstrated ability to:   

o        Work effectively at the executive level of client organizations;

o        Conduct effective sales presentations;

o        Develop new business and build long term client relationships;

o        Learn quickly;

o        Rapidly adapt to changing requirements and perform under pressure

·         The ability to understand the client's sales and marketing strategy and develop value-added solutions

·         Strong team orientation

·         The ability to effectively leverage diverse areas of expertise toward a common client objective

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Strong interpersonal skills and are a self-starter

·         Related experience in a strategic marketing or conceptual sales environment consulting with senior and executive-level management

·         Minimum 5 to 10 years business experience preferred

·         University education preferred
