Salary range: $58,507 to $78,648

Primary Responsibilities:
Audit professionals carry out a variety of interesting tasks. As a member of an audit team, you will carry out examinations using audit programs and proven methodology. You will work in an interesting environment filled with challenges and have many opportunities for different assignments and advancement.
We are looking for individuals with knowledge of management principles, standards, and contemporary audit practices and management. Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work in teams are assets in dealing with peers, senior management and client organizations. You need to be able to write clearly, succinctly and persuasively and be able to easily adapt to changes.
Working with the Office of the Auditor General will give you the skills and knowledge that will make you a highly competent audit professional. You will be part of an audit team in Vancouver that is responsible for the financial audits of the Governments of the Yukon and Northwest Territories as well as their related agencies and select federal departments and Crown corporations in the Pacific region. You will participate in all phases of the audits, including planning, conducting, and reporting; and you may participate in performance audits of departments and special examinations of Crown corporations. A willingness to travel 12 to 15 weeks per year is essential. With coaching and mentoring, we will help you make career decisions that are right for you.
