Rescu, a pre-hospital transport medicine research program, is currently seeking a Research Interface Development Programmer Analyst to join our growing medical research team. This individual must have a history of successfully delivering complex web-based data collection and reporting applications. As a member of the data management team you will be jointly responsible for the design, implementation, testing and maintenance of our data management systems. The individual should possess strong organizational skills, excellent oral/written communication skills, be goal-oriented, quick and eager to learn any concepts and procedures, highly motivated, a creative self-starter, and an excellent team player. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently, multi-task, and be flexible to take on varied responsibilities. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Development of all interfaces between clinical systems; includes the analysis, design, configuration and messaging of data element transfer
- Working with clinical systems analysts and departmental key users; writes and documents all of the operational and technical needs assessment and detailed data specifications, ensuring that they complement work processes and facilitate data transfer between systems
- Maintain and support all existing interfaces
- Provision of on-call support during after hours periods (24 hour basis)
- Provide technical and programming expertise to the clinical systems group
- Design and develop new application software, as required and appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS: - University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience
- Extensive (2+ years) experience developing web-based data management systems in a Windows environment using .Net (specifically C#), AJAX, HTML, Java script, CSS
- Good knowledge of object-oriented design and develoment
- Extensive (2+ years) experience programming queries, functions and stored procedures in SQL Server 2000 and/or 2005 or greater
- Experience with SSIS and SSRS
- Experience with SAS Base Programming
- Knowledge of ETL best practices and data warehousing principles
- Experience with process automation tools (i.e. AutoMate BPA Server) is a bonus
- Experience with a organization that conducts clinical trials
- Must have an excellent attendance record
