The Connection is comprised of 3 services areas; Behavioral Health, Community Justice, and Family Support Services. The Connection´s statewide programs reunite families; break the generational cycles of abuse and neglect; create stronger, safer communities; assist people with mental health and addiction issues; provide long term supportive housing to individuals and families including those with diagnosed behavioral health disorders; provide residential treatment for women and/or men in recovery, and offer less costly service alternatives, saving taxpayer dollars

Knowledge, Skills, and Position Summary: The Cook will work together in a collaborative fashion, to prepare and cook appetizing and nutritious meals for the clients. The Cook will also assist with vocational training of clients who are interested in pursuing a career in the food service industry. This position is non-exempt and works under the supervision of program Management. The eligible candidate for this position would work full time, 32 hours, 1st shift, Friday-Monday. Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Education: The minimum qualifications to be an eligible candidate for the Cook position is an Associates Degree or 2 years of related experience in the direct service field. Valid Connecticut driver´s license and proof of Insurance is required for all open positions at The Connection.
