Knowledge, Skills, and Position Summary:The Therapist 1 position is in the Criminal Justice service area and provides sex offender assessment, group and individual treatment to adults in community based treatment settings and collaborates with other team members. The eligible candidate for the Therapist 1 position will work full time, 40 hours, 1st shift, Monday - Friday. Regular & predictable attendance is required in this position. This position is exempt and works under the supervision of Program Management. Ongoing training in current best practices for this field is provided.
Education: The minimum qualifications for the Therapist 1 position is a license eligible Master's Degree in the counseling or social work field and related clinical experience. A valid Connecticut driver's license is required for all open positions at the Connection. Bi-lingual preferred.
Orientation: If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend New Hire Orientation on days 1-3. This orientation is held at our Main Office in Middletown, Connecticut.
