TSX is responsible for developing new listings business and maintaining relationships with issuers and their advisors. TSX also establishes and maintains standards in respect of original listings, corporate finance, share compensation, timely disclosure and corporate governance. In addition, TSX also provides issuer education on a variety of topics and develops new products and services that will enhance our customer service for listed issuers.

  • Listed Issuer Services
    Listed Issuer Services is responsible for developing and monitoring the initial and continuing standards for TSX issuers. This includes both the standards for initial listing on TSX as well as those applicable to all issuances of securities subsequent to listing for activities such as private placements, employee compensation, M&A activity and other corporate finance activity.

    As capital market professionals, together with the Business Development group, Listed Issuer Services works with prospective clients to advise potential listings candidates and ensure a smooth listings process. Similarly, Listed Issuer Services works with TSX issuers and their advisors to ensure the efficient completion of subsequent transactions.

    Listed Issuer Services also monitors the eligibility of issuers to remain listed and where necessary initiates suspension of non-compliant issuers to maintain the integrity of the stock list.

  • Business Development
    Business Development provides superior service and value-added products to TSX issuers, develops new listings on TSX and promotes the visibility of TSX in both the Canadian and global marketplace. Each TSX issuer is assigned a dedicated manager who keeps issuers updated on the TSX services as well as issues of significance in the capital markets.
  • Compliance and Disclosure
    Investors have a right to timely and complete information about the business and affairs of an issuer in order to make knowledgeable investment decisions. To that end, TSX has requirements in place that require its issuers to release material business information, disclose their corporate governance and have appropriate electronic communications disclosure practices. Compliance and Disclosure oversees these standards, monitors compliance with them and educates issuers in respect of these and related topics.
