Salary/Grade:  D007
Salary Range:  $32.27 per/hr (minimum) - $40.34 per/hr (midpoint)
Status:   Temporary FULL-TIME  (Maternity Leave: November 2009-November 2010)

Rehabilitation Solutions provides exemplary patient and customer service through excellence in disability evaluation, treatment, research and education.  We believe in delivering patient-centered care. Third-party payers with interest in integrated disability prevention and management such as Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, Life and Auto Insurance companies and employer groups refer patients to our Multidisciplinary assessment and treatment programs.

Rehabilitation Solutions is seeking an experienced clinician, preferably a registrant of a regulated health profession, who has experience, skills and knowledge in the area of return to work and ergonomics consulting. The job will involve an assessment process, planning of intervention both in the clinic and on the client's job site. Strong communication skills are also important. We prefer candidates with at minimum one year experience specific to this job and ability to travel to worksites and across various RS sites in the Greater Toronto Area.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Baccalaureate degree in health related discipline
  • A member in good standing with a professional college and/or a member of the Regulated Health Professionals Act  preferred
  • Minimum one year related experience - skills and knowledge in the area of return-to-work and ergonomics consulting
  • Knowledge of relevant employment and insurance legislation, as well as an understanding of labour relations
  • Demonstrated coordination and networking skills
  • Exemplary interpersonal/communication skills, both written and oral - experience in preparing detailed reports
  • Experience in performing functional capacity or ability evaluations, job site assessments and physical demand analyses
  • Proven flexibility and ability to adapt positively to change
  • High level of initiative and self-direction
  • Access to reliable transportation - a valid driver's license and own transportation an asset
  • Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent teaching skills
  • Ability to function collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and/or independently
  • Ability to work in a self or team directed manner
  • Demonstrated awareness of and adherence to professional and ethical standards
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience working with in an industrial or hospital environment an asset
