Site:   Toronto Rehab, Lyndhurst Centre   
Department: Spinal Cord Rehab Program (SCRP), Outpatient Services
Reports to: Manager, Program Services
Scale: D0:07
Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN Compensation Policy 
Hours: 33.75 hours per week (0.9 FTE)
Status: Temporary part-time       1 year

The Physiotherapist (PT) is an integral member of the Physiotherapy service, Allied Health and clinical programs in which care is provided. Through the provision of patient and non-patient care activities, the PT enhances the quality of life of patients living with spinal cord injury or disease. Principal responsibilities include: providing assessment and treatment for patients; participating in goal setting with patients; collaborating with inter-professional staff in providing patient-focused care; facilitating referrals to appropriate community resources; communicating effectively with patients and internal/external care providers; participating in program planning and development, and professional and hospital initiatives supporting quality management and research; supervising Physiotherapy students for clinical education; covering for colleagues; demonstrating an understanding of, complying with, and committing to patient safety responsibilities and corresponding hospital plans, policies and procedures in order to ensure a safe environment for patients.


• Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Physical Therapy
• Registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario: CPA membership preferred
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (B - with 2 person rescuer or C Level) on employment
• Minimum of two years relevant clinical experience
• Experience in spinal cord rehabilitation preferred
• Bobath and/or NDT experience preferred
• Seating experience preferred
• Hydrotherapy experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills
