MARKETING ANALYST: PRODUCT MARKETING

The Virgin Mobile Product Marketing team is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to drive sales & revenue targets in a fast paced, highly competitive marketplace. This position provides an excellent opportunity to work in a high profile and challenging environment where roadmaps don’t exist. The role focuses on analyzing revenue, sales and profitability results to provide current forecasts to senior management. The role also provides the opportunity to develop and manage quarterly promotions, strategic offers & competitive responses to ensure achievement of those forecasts.

The really important stuff?

Responsible for:

  • Forecasting marketing KPI’s for both prepaid and postpaid portfolios
  • Modeling financial scenarios balancing several variables in order to assist team in making business decisions
  • Assisting in the development of pricing & proposition designed to achieve organizational objectives
  • Presenting program initiatives to cross functional teams for feedback
  • Assisting in "take to market" process for Virgin Mobility campaigns. This includes input into marketing strategy, offer development & research, creative briefs, cross functional team coordination, tactical execution & approvals, results tracking & analysis
  • Managing market analysis and make recommendations for gap closure initiatives
  • Managing & track program results
  • Business case development & approval
  • Post mortem development and analysis
  • Meeting aggressive due dates on project implementation

The "Must Haves"?

  • Proficient in the development and maintenance of forecasting and reporting tools.
  • University degree with a Business, Marketing and/or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Marketing / telecommunications
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills (including expert knowledge of Excel, Access, Powerpoint)
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal (ability to effectively communicate in front of large groups of people)
  • Solid partnering and creative problem solving skills
  • Flexibility and the ability to comfortably operate in an ever-evolving environment]
  • Good knowledge of the evolving competitive telecom environment
