Job Description:

Workstream Inc. has an immediate opening for a Software QA Engineer to work at our Maitland, FL office. We have a dynamic and seasoned software development team that produces excellent software products.  In this position you will use software testing knowledge to thoroughly test web applications in a highly complex network/server environment. The position will require that you participate in the design, testing and verification of functionality, usability, and scalability.  In addition, you will work with other QA teams on module integration. You should clearly understand how to conceptualize, document and execute use cases, functional tests, integration tests, regression tests, and stress tests.   

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow established testing methodologies, processes and documentation standards.
• Help prepare regression test plans.
• Write detailed, accurate test scripts
• Write integration tests.
• Execute test scripts and plans.
• Investigate and analyze faults found in systems.
• Provide clear documentation on faults to assist development teams.
• Work with support and product management to understand customer usage of the product.
• Coordinate transition of tickets between Support and QA.
• Advise on Go/no-go decisions for system readiness for client production environments.
• Work with developers to confirm functionality when Specifications incomplete.
• Update Functional Specifications as necessary to complete writing of QA integration tests

Skills Required:

• A minimum of 3 years of testing experience, with at least two of those involved in web-application testing.
• Excellent problem determination skills, strong software testing experience, familiarity with QA test and bug reporting concepts, and agility in working with varying product lifecycle timelines.
• Proven experience working on multiple projects at one time and working independently with minimal oversight.
  Functional test experience is essential.  

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• The ability to work with development teams on design issues, contribute to reviews and troubleshoot.
• Some familiarity with SQL would be an asset. 
• Familiarity with test automation software, or Mercury Quality Centre would be of interest.
• Familiarity Rational tools would also be of interest, but not essential.
