Verity, A HealthStream Company was built from the acquisition of three different companies that were market leaders in the credentialing, privileging and enrollment space. The software platforms from the legacy companies were primarily installed solutions.  A vital component of this role will be to assist with the planning and execution of migrating legacy installed customers into Verity’s new multi-tenant SaaS solution. This will be an important initiative that aligns with Verity’s vision of delivering solutions that will integrate platform, content, and data establishing a premier ecosystem and marketplace for our customers.

The Senior Director / Associate Vice President (SD/AVP) of Product Management, is a complex, well-respected and highly visible role within Verity that serves as a member of the Verity leadership team and is responsible for product team development, product vision and execution, for the product lifecycle of all Verity Solutions. The SD/AVP of Product Management is also responsible for contributing to the Voice of the Customer (VOC) and establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that will help provide data to drive decisions as it relates to acquisition, engagement and retention of customers. A candidate for this position should immediately generate a very high level of credibility with both internal and external customers. This credibility should come from a long history of relevant experience, prior success with similar/related products, and ability to quickly create value to the organization and its customers.

In addition, this position maintains a close relationship with Verity executive leaders, as well as, the Verity CEO and CTO to create a product culture of continuous innovation, collaboration and trust, utilizing scrum agile methodology.



Product Team Leadership, Evangelist, and Development

  • Mentoring and coaching Product Managers
  • Establishing communication and meeting cadence to support team responsibilities
  • Regular feedback & direction on individual and team priorities
  • Evaluation of team structure and opportunities for realign as products evolve
  • Defining goals and measures of success for the Product Management functions
  • Collaboration and alignment with HealthStream product operations

Product Visionary and Innovative Guru

  • Understanding the thorough business case for proposed products and initiatives, including cost/benefit estimates, market trends, competitive analysis, risk analysis, industry best practices and product development timelines
  • Planning, prioritizing and managing the product features and requirements from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize revenue and meet operational, financial and organizational objectives
  • Collaborating with the CTO and Development teams to ensure consistent execution of product plans that result in product prioritization and delivery on time utilizing agile scrum methodologies
  • Present product vision and direction to various internal and external stakeholder to build momentum, clarify direction, and foster collaboration.

Lead Roadmapper and Product Portfolio Owner

  • Responsible for oversight of the product roadmap for internal and external stakeholders, including prioritization methodologies, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Assist with developing and growing partnership opportunities, as well as, maintaining existing partnerships
  • Fostering close relationships with all key market constituents (customers, non-customers, analyst and competitors) to validate Verity product strategy and roadmap
  • Guide multiple cross-functional and self-led scrum (technology) teams delivering product development activities aligned with the product roadmaps; provide leadership for product management team which is responsible for facilitating monthly grooming sessions with each scrum team

Go-to-Market Planner and Sales Accelerator

  • Collaborating with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure go-to-market strategies, plans and activities are aligned with the company’s business drivers
  • Support new product releases with product launch plans including the development of sales tools, collaterals, and training
  • Assist Solution Executives in the development of marketing strategy and prioritize the production of marketing materials and sales-supporting activities
  • Identify and support public relations opportunities such as speaking engagements, webinars, published articles, and other events that promote Verity as a thought leader
  • Formalize product launch methodology to ensure company-wide excitement, alignment, and execution excellence

Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, product marketing, or clinical discipline

At least 7-10 years in a product management, sales, product marketing, or relevant role

Clinical or healthcare-related experience strongly preferred

Software development lifecycle or technology management experience strongly preferred




Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

User experience in Visual Studio, Roadmunk, SalesForce.com, PowerBI – or similar technology platforms




Ability to manage time and multiple priorities to meet schedules and deadlines

Travel to Verity office locations, occasional travel to customer sites & other required meetings not in Nashville
