In the HealthStream Intern Program (HIP), you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in a collaborative environment.


  • The Organizational Development position is a full time summer internship opportunity in the Human Resources department. As an Organizational Development intern, you will support the Enterprise Manager – Organizational Development with research, recommendations, coordination, and administration of organizational development initiatives, projects, and programs for HealthStream. This includes oversight of the operations of HIP. In addition to supporting the Enterprise Manager – Organizational Development, you will support the AVP – Human Resources in a compensation analysis project.



  • Typical Organizational Development assignments include:

    • Screening internship applications
    • Conducting initial phone interviews with internship candidates
    • Research best practices for talent management and organizational development; Synthesize findings in a clear and concise manner
    • Attend meetings related to relevant projects
    • Update budget to ensure the program is meeting targets




    • Undergraduate student enrolled at an accredited university or college, studying Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field
    • Previous internship experience is preferred, but not required


    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills with great attention to detail


    • Strong sense of initiative is required; must be a “self-starter”
    • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time
    • Coordinating with others across other departments is important
    • Strong written and verbal communication
