Research Analyst
Institute for Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR)

Position Description
The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is currently seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Analyst to support an Independent Scientist who has a large international research program focused on improving access to psychological treatments for depression and anxiety in low resourced settings from patient centered lens. This position is located within the Centre of Complex Interventions and the Institute of Mental Health Policy Research.   The Research Analyst will have reporting function to the Research Manager. 

Key Accountabilities
The Research Analyst will work in a large, dynamic lab to primarily assist in maintaining participant records, data entry and analysis and database maintenance using REDCapTM. This position will provide regular updates as well as other related duties including maintaining subject records and study logs. You will also create study tools, prepare regulatory submissions, maintain regulatory documentation, and summarize data for progress reports as necessary. The candidate may also be required to assist with other administrative duties as necessary.

This position will require a highly experienced health-related research background and the ideal candidate will be capable of conducting daily tasks with minimal supervision. Qualifications

  • The successful candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Statistics or in a relevant field
  • One year of recent and related experience in a research environment in a health setting is required. 
  • Applied experience (beyond coursework) in SAS through clinical trials or other research studies and experience working with large datasets is required.
  • Familiarity with REDCapTM database is required
  • Strong experience in analysis and interpretation of research datasets
  • Experience in data management tasks for clinical trials
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with a flexibility to adjust to priorities
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-directed with an ability to make decisions and to exercise good judgement
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of PC software skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel), internet search engines, and database software packages is required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to exercise initiative and good judgment is required for these positions.

Salary Range: $25.03 - $33.38 per hour
